Measuring impacts and aggregating insights about the Victorian social enterprise sector: a data and evaluation platform

Providing social enterprises with a longitudinal measurement tool

Social enterprises regularly identify measuring and communicating their impacts as a core organisational challenge. This project is building an online platform, Seedkit, that enables social enterprises to better measure and communicate their organisational characteristics and social impacts.

Co-designed with Victorian social enterprises and others in the ecosystem, Seedkit provides individual organisations with a longitudinal measurement tool, as well as a suite of resources that help organisations build their evaluation and impact measurement capacity. The project will also generate sector-level insights reports for social enterprises and government, drawing on aggregated data from the tool.

Seedkit is owned and hosted by Melbourne Social Equity Institute at the University of Melbourne. It is currently supported by the University of Melbourne and Minderoo Foundation.

Seedkit was co-developed by the Centre for Social Impact Swinburne and Melbourne Social Equity Institute. Its initial development was funded by Victoria State Government.
