Melbourne Social Equity Institute’s Community Fellows Program aims to meet the research needs of community organisations to conduct small research-related projects in collaboration with university-based researchers.

Community Fellows receive mentoring, research training, access to a hot desk and to University library facilities. Grants of $7000 are made available to the community-based organisations to compensate them for the time that Fellows spend working on their research projects.

Applications for the 2023 Community Fellows Program are now open. A total of twelve Community Fellowships are expected to be offered, to commence in February.

In the session, we will provide an overview of the work of the Institute, information about the fellowship structure and some tips for completing the application form.
