Community Fellows Announced for 2021

We are delighted to announce that 17 fellows from 16 community organisations will be joining the Melbourne Social Equity Institute's Community Fellows Program in 2021.

The Community Fellows Program aims to meet the research needs of community organisations to conduct small research-related projects in collaboration with university-based researchers.

The community organisations participating in the program this year are:

·      Ethiopian Community Association in Victoria
·      Ethnic Communities’ Council of Victoria
·      First Nations Media Australia
·      First People of the Millewa-Mallee Aboriginal Corporation
·      Flat Out
·      Kevin Heinze Grow
·      It’s Not A Compliment
·      North Melbourne Language and Learning
·      Road to Refuge
·      Tamil Refugee Council
·      Whittlesea Community Connections
·      Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation

Each Fellow will be working with an Academic Mentor from the University of Melbourne to design and develop their projects. They will also attend a range of research training and skills development workshops.
