Melbourne Social Equity Institute's Community of Practice brings together people from a range of backgrounds to explore the ethics, methods and approaches to community engaged research.

The Community of Practice is open to researchers from across the University of Melbourne, as well as from other institutions and the wider community

The October Community of Practice forum will be led by the Melbourne Research Alliance to End Violence against women and their children (MAEVe).

The discussion will focus on working collaboratively with women with lived experience of abuse and violence in research co-design, media, advocacy and training.

MAEVe has just completed an evaluation of the setting up of a lived experience research panel. Attendees are invited to bring their voices and experiences to enable discussion about how programs can be ethically organised, feasible and sustainable in the longer term.
