Brazilian Research Endeavours in Gender, Violence and Health: Multi-sectoral Approaches

The guest speaker for the first MAEVe seminar of 2020 is Associate Professor Marcos Signorelli from Federal University of Paraná, Brazil.

Associate Professor Signorelli is in Melbourne as part of a three-week study visit with the Safer Families Centre of Research Excellence.

His research interests involve the intersections between gender, violence and health, particularly violence against women and violence against LGBTI+ people, with a focus on primary health care and multi-sectoral interventions in low-and-middle-income settings
