Gudrun Burnett, Churchill Fellow of the Peabody Association London presents ‘The vital role housing plays in responding and tackling domestic abuse and the Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance (DAHA)’.

Guest speaker: Gudrun Burnett 

This event features guest speaker Gudrun Burnett, from the Peabody Association, London and current Winston Churchill Fellow. The Peabody Association is one of the largest London-based housing providers (with over 28,000 properties and 80,000 residents). Burnett has worked in the field of domestic abuse for over ten years and was involved in the establishment of the award-winning national alliance, the Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance (DAHA), which aims to improve housing sector response to domestic abuse through a national accreditation process. As part of her Churchill fellowship, she will be travelling to three continents (USA, Canada and Australia) to learn about best practice in housing and domestic abuse. Her talk is entitled ‘The vital role housing plays in responding and tackling domestic abuse and the Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance (DAHA)’.
